Bart se hace una tarjeta de crédito y compra un montón de cosas, entre ellas, un perro de raza collie llamado Laddie, un perro perfecto. Sin embargo, Bart no puede pagar todo lo que ha comprado y le embargan las cosas. Cuando van a llevarse al perro, Bart les da al Pequeño Ayudante de Santa Claus, se queda con el collie... y llegan los remordimientos por haberlo hecho.
